TRANSPORTATION

A look at ways to get to, from and around San Diego…

SAN DIEGO METROPOLITAN TRANSIT SYSTEM (MTS)
$5 covers trolley and bus transport for 24 hours

Trolley
Lucky D’s is located four short blocks from the closest trolley station on Park & Market Street. A quick walk to this station can bring you to destinations like San Ysidro or The Fashion Valley Mall for as low as five dollars a day. The trolley runs from 5AM until 1AM and has various stops around the city and beyond. Maps and timetables are available online here.

Bus
Where the trolley lines don’t run, the bus routes will get you where you need to go. Clean, timely and running almost entirely on natural gas- the buses of San Diego are part of the reason the MTS was named, “Outstanding Public Transportation System of the Year,” by the American Public Transportation Association.

FLAGSHIP CRUISES
Harbor transportation

Ferry
Enjoy a 15-minute ride across the bay on the Flagship Ferry. Whether for business or pleasure, our Ferry is a speedy and relaxing way to visit Coronado. You’ll land at the Coronado Ferry Landing, which features a marketplace packed with unique shops and restaurants. If you’re commuting, the Ferry is free during the commuter hours between 5:40 and 8:50 a.m, and it includes a free return ticket for the afternoon. Board the Ferry at the Broadway Pier, the Convention Center, or the Coronado Ferry Landing.

Water-Taxi
The Flagship Water Taxi is the quick and fun way to get to your destination along the San Diego Bay. Whether you’re headed to a restaurant, your hotel, or a shopping destination, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful San Diego scenery along the way. The water-taxi is more expensive than the ferry, but if speed and privacy are important, it’s the best way across the harbor.

NORTH COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT (NCTD)
Trains and buses serving the coastal communities of North County

Coaster
Providing customers with breathtaking coastal scenery, the Coaster commuter train runs north-south, serving eight stations between Oceanside and downtown San Diego. More than 20 trains run on weekdays, with service on Saturdays (the Coaster does not typically operate on Sundays). It takes about an hour to travel the entire Coaster route. If you decide to pay a visit to Oceanside, this is definitely the most scenic route!

Breeze
North County Transit District’s original service, the sleek blue, teal and white Breeze buses carry passengers in the north San Diego County region from Oceanside to Del Mar, northeast to Escondido, east to Ramona; north to Fallbrook and to San Clemente in Orange County - including service for Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base. Special Breeze buses can also take you to the Del Mar Fair (seasonal).
